MEMS system covers all Russian PepsiCo subsidiaries and accounts hundreds of thousands freezing and marketing equipment units. This system has improved the quality of MEM department operations due to automation of many business processes such as receive, write-off, pick-up, installation, in-house transfer, inventory control and audit. Various reports generated by system provides operative information about marketing equipment allowing timely right decision making.
The system platform is Progress OpenEdge v10 including Progress Enterprise RDBMS, Progress AppServer and Progress WebClient. System has been built in 3-tier client-server architecture. For integration with existing ERP-system Sonic ESB was implemented.
